School Advisory Committee

The objectives of the Patrick Henry Elementary School Advisory Council (SAC) are as follows:

. Acts as a forum to discuss school related concerns of the school community.
. Provides constructive advice to the principal on matters affecting the operation of school programs.
. Provides comments and recommendations on policies and resource allocations that are decided at higher levels but impact upon Patrick Henry Elementary School.

The SAC is comprised of five-elected parent representatives from the community and five-elected teacher representatives. The school principal and the teachers' union representative are non-voting members of SAC.

Parent-Teacher Association

Patrick Henry Elementary School has a very active Parent-Teacher Association. Throughout the year they plan a variety of educational and enrichment activities that benefit students and their families (Book Fairs, Yearbook, Story Tellers, Spring Carnival, Friday Popcorn, Fifth Grade Social, Student Picture Day, Teacher Recognition Week, General Membership Meetings). Every family is encouraged to become a member of the PTA as a way of demonstrating to our children that we are working in partnership with our educators to provide the quality education to which they are entitled.
